Using the radar
The radar shows which apps launched or entered the charts, country by country.
- Newly released lists apps whose store release date falls inside your time window. Entered the charts lists apps that appeared in a top chart for the first time, even if they launched earlier.
- Choose a country, a store (App Store, Google Play or both) and a time window. "More filters" narrows by category, chart, price and rating.
- Data comes from the public App Store and Google Play top charts (free, paid, grossing) and is refreshed twice a day. A newly launched app shows up once it reaches a chart we scan.
- Open any app to see its rank history, rating and install trend. Tap the eye icon to add it to your watchlist.
- Save a search and turn on email alerts (Pro and Studio) to get a digest when new apps match your filters.
Store search
Store search looks up any app live on the stores, even if it never reached a chart. It counts toward the daily search limit of your plan.
Credits and reputation
Credits pay for testing; reputation shows how reliable you are as a tester.
Credits
| Event | Credits |
|---|---|
| Account created | +30 |
| Pro / Studio subscription (every month) | +60 / +200 |
| Your test is approved in a test request | +10 |
| Test squad completed | your 20 back + 10 bonus + share of forfeited deposits |
| Joining a test squad (deposit) | −20 (held) |
| Opening a test request | −10 per tester (held) |
| Cancelling a request or leaving a forming squad | unused credits back |
Credits are not money
Credits are an in-app balance only. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred or paid out, and they end when the account is closed.
Reputation
Everyone starts at 100. Below 40 you cannot join squads, join tests or open requests until your score recovers.
| Event | Reputation |
|---|---|
| Test squad completed | +5 |
| Test approved in a test request | +2 |
| Leaving a test request early | -5 |
| No check-in for 3 days in a test request | -5 |
| Your test is rejected by the owner | -10 |
| You reject a tester (as owner) | -2 |
Test squads
Up to 16 developers start on the same day and test each other's apps every day for 14 days. Built for Google Play's closed-testing requirement (12 opted-in testers for 14 days in a row) with a safety buffer.
Before you join
- Android: a closed test track in Play Console and its opt-in link (play.google.com/apps/testing/…), plus the Google account email you use on your test device.
- iOS: a public TestFlight link (testflight.apple.com/join/…).
- 3–14 proof questions that only someone who opened your app can answer, e.g. "What is the title on the home screen?". One question is asked per day, in turn. Case, Turkish letters and punctuation are ignored.
- 20 credits for the deposit and a reputation of at least 40.
- Time for about 10–15 minutes a day for two weeks.
How a squad runs
- Join
You enter the queue
You add your app and pay the 20-credit deposit. Everyone waiting for the same platform joins the same squad.
- Up to 72 h
The squad fills up
It locks as soon as 16 people have joined. If it waits 72 hours and has at least 13, it locks with fewer.
- ~1–2 days
Setup
After locking there are at least 30 hours to get ready: add your teammates' emails to your closed test, publish the track, opt in to every teammate's test and tick each step off in the squad page.
- Days 1–14
Daily testing
Every day, open each teammate's app and answer its question of the day. A day counts when you test at least 80% of active teammates.
- After day 14
Completion
Finishers get their deposit back, a 10-credit bonus, an equal share of forfeited deposits and +5 reputation. A report of your app's testing is ready on the squad page.
Your daily routine
- 1Open the squad pageYou get a morning reminder by notification and email. The page lists every teammate's app with today's question.
- 2Open each app and answerInstall or update the app from its test link, use it, then type the answer. A correct answer is your check-in. You have 5 tries per app per day.
- 3Reach 80%In a full squad you have 15 teammates, so at least 12 check-ins are needed. Checking in to all of them is a perfect day.
- 4Leave feedbackReport bugs, ideas or a short review. Useful feedback earns points and makes the squad worth it for everyone.
When does a day end?
Days roll over at 00:00 UTC, which is 03:00 in Türkiye. An evening reminder arrives if you are still below the daily minimum.
Points
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| Check-in (correct answer) | +1 per app |
| Feedback (bug, idea or review) | +3, first 2 per app per day |
| Bug confirmed by the app owner | +5 |
| Perfect day (every teammate tested) | +5 |
| 7 perfect days in a row | +10 |
| 14 perfect days in a row | +20 |
Points rank you on the squad's Team tab, next to streaks and perfect days. They are not credits.
Leaving a squad and early-exit penalties
A squad only works if everyone stays for the full 14 days, so leaving gets stricter once the squad has locked.
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| You leave while the squad is still forming | Full deposit refund, no penalty. Use "Leave squad" on the squad page. |
| The squad has locked (setup or testing) | There is no leave button any more. Stopping counts as missed days. |
| One day below 80% | Warning by notification and email. Your perfect-day streak resets. Nothing else is lost if the next day counts. |
| 2 days in a row below 80% | You are dropped from the squad. Your 20-credit deposit is forfeited and shared among finishers, you get no bonus, and teammates stop testing your app, which usually breaks Google Play's 14-day run for it. |
| You finish all 14 days | Deposit back + 10 bonus + your share of forfeited deposits, and +5 reputation. |
Example payout
Two people are dropped from a 16-person squad. Their 40 credits are split between the 14 finishers: 2 credits each. Every finisher receives 20 + 10 + 2 = 32 credits.
Can't continue?
If something serious comes up, tell your squad in the feedback of your own app and contact us. We can't pause a running squad, because the other 15 people depend on the same 14 days.
Test requests
A flexible alternative to squads: you set the number of testers and the duration, and pay testers in credits.
Opening a request (app owner)
- 1Describe your appAdd a title, the official test link (Google Play testing link or TestFlight), an optional Google Group and what testers should focus on.
- 2Choose testers and duration1–50 testers for 3–28 days (14 by default). The request costs 10 credits per tester, held until each tester is approved.
- 3Review submissionsApprove a tester and 10 credits go to them. To reject, write a reason of at least 10 characters. If you don't decide within 3 days, the test is approved automatically.
- 4Close or cancelA request completes when enough testers are approved. You can cancel while no tester is active; unused credits come back.
Joining a request (tester)
- 1Join and installOpen the request, join, then install the app from its official test link. Joining counts as your first check-in.
- 2Check in every dayPress "I opened it today" each day you use the app. You may miss up to 2 days over the whole test.
- 3SubmitWhen the duration is over, leave at least one review and submit your test.
- 4Get paidAfter approval you receive 10 credits and +2 reputation.
Penalties in test requests
Leaving early costs 5 reputation. 3 days without a check-in drops you automatically (-5). A rejected test costs 10, and the owner who rejects loses 2 to discourage unfair rejections.
Community rules
These rules apply to squads and test requests alike. They expand section 4 of the Terms.
Allowed
- Apps you own or are authorised to distribute, shared only through official test links.
- Honest testing on a real device, and honest, specific feedback.
- Reporting a test request that breaks the rules with its Report button, and emailing us about a squad teammate.
Not allowed
- Malware, phishing, illegal content, or apps that break store policies.
- Collecting testers' data without a legal basis and a privacy policy.
- Fake check-ins, sharing answers to proof questions, emulator farms, multiple accounts, or paid / automated testing.
- Trading ratings or reviews, or asking testers to rate your app on the public store.
- Harassment or spam in feedback.
Enforcement
We review every report. Depending on severity we remove content, cancel a request, reset credits or reputation, or block the account. Blocked accounts cannot sign in.
Frequently asked questions
Does Testerloop guarantee Google Play approval?
No. We give you real, active testers for the full period. Whether production access is granted is Google's decision. Check the current requirement in your Play Console.
Why 16 people if Google asks for 12?
The extra testers are a buffer. Even if a few people are dropped, your app still keeps at least 12 active testers.
A teammate's app does not open or the question is wrong. What now?
Report it as a bug in that app's feedback. Thanks to the 80% rule, one or two broken apps do not cost you the day.
I missed one day. Am I out?
No. You are only dropped after 2 missed days in a row. Make the next day count and your missed-day counter resets.
Who sees my email address?
Only on Android, and only your teammates in that squad, so they can add you to their closed test. You agree to this when joining. Emails are removed 30 days after the squad ends.
Can I buy credits?
No, credits cannot be bought. Pro and Studio add 60 and 200 credits every month; otherwise you earn them by testing.
Can I be in more than one squad?
Yes, up to 1 on Free, 3 on Pro and 6 on Studio at the same time.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → "Permanently delete my account". Your data is erased as described in the Privacy Policy. You can also send a data request from the legal pages.
Ready for your first squad?
